Villages

Castelnou is the closest village to Domaine Madrona and has been nominated one of “the most beautiful villages” in France and a visit to this little gem offers a wonderful journey back in time. The same goes for Villefranche de Conflent, a medieval city fortified by Vauban and Unesco listed. Try not to miss the Romanesque church of Saint-Jacques, Fort Liberia, the ramparts, the caves of the small and large Canalettes, the Costa Bastera cave or simply a guided tour of the village.
